Kelowna Golf & Social Outing - June 23, 2007

At our Board’s spring Meeting we scheduled a number of regional golf outing to foster communication between E.R.I. members, alumni members, employees, supplier reps, service team members and their spouses and guests. The first two functions in Quebec City and Kelowna were well attended by local members from Quebec and BC plus several members who traveled many miles from New Brunswick, Alberta and Ontario to attend and make these memorable events.

At the most recent outing in Kelowna the weather was absolutely perfect and the golf course (Mission Creek) was ideal for our group, it was a short course with lots of trees and water. Despite my difficulties on the course my foursome finished second-least-honest playing best ball.

After golf we enjoyed a few pitchers of clubhouse draft to restore our bodily fluids before returning to our hotel. Following naps, 20 non-golfers (intelligent normal people) joined the 24 golfers for appetizers, socializing and more refreshments. Next, the members, alumni, employees, supplier reps , service team members , spouses and guests sat down to enjoy a superb multi-course prime rib dinner followed by the presentation of prizes and more socializing.

As is always the case, Rick, Bev and Staff deserve all of the credit for staging a very productive and successful weekend regional business meeting.
