History of E.R.I.


1982 - Incorporated on January 13, 1982, E.R.I. has grown from four members at the outset to over 270 active members today

1983 – October, 1983, held the first annual members’ meeting and trade show.

1984 – June 1984, added 20th supplier

1985 – January 1985, added 50th member

1986 – September 1986, added 50th supplier

1991- Established E.R.I. Advisory Committee

1992 – January 1992, added 100th member

1994 – December 1994, added 200th member

1996 – April 1996, added 100th supplier

1997 – Opened first distribution centre in Toronto, Ontario

1998 – October, 1998, recognized first Quarter Million Dollar Club members

2000 – Established “The Richard Miller Award”, an annual education & training grant, to be used to provide financial assistance and encouragement to individuals who wish to further their education or training

2000 – September 2000, awarded the Richard Miller Award to Mr. Tim Fedak of Nova Scotia and Miss Cori Smuck of Ontario

2000 – November 2000, moved to present location with larger offices and larger distribution centre.

2001 – February 2001, added 250th member

2001 - September 2001, awarded the Richard Miller Award to Mr. Robert Borden of British Columbia, Mr. Greg Chaykowski of Alberta, Mr. Chad Wonchulanko of Saskatchewan, Miss Faye Socholotiuk of Ontario, Mr. Patrice Lambert of Québec and Mr. Tim Fedak of Nova Scotia

2002 – January 2002, celebrated E.R.I.’s 20th anniversary

2002 – February 2002, established the E.R.I. Service Team

2002 – August 2002, opened the Alberta distribution centre

2002 – September 2002, awarded the Richard Miller Award to Mr. Robert Taylor of Manitoba, Miss Sara Stevens of Ontario, Mr. Patrice Lambert of Québec, Mr. Tim Fedak of Nova Scotia, Mr. Aynsley Jenkins of Ontario and Miss Faye Socholotiuk of Ontario

2003 – August 2003, opened the Québec distribution centre

2003 – September 2003 - awarded the Richard Miller Award to Miss Carmen Joy Wonchulanko Saskatchewan, Miss Katie Stefko of Ontario, Miss Marie-Claude Drolet of Québec, Mr. Tim Fedak of Nova Scotia, Miss Sara Stevens of Ontario and Miss Krista Socholotiuk of Ontario

2004 – April 2004, recognized first $500,000 Guild Member

2004 – September 2004, awarded the Richard Miller Award to Miss Kristen Korecki of British Columbia, Miss Jessica Minnie of British Columbia, Mr. Matthew Pranszka of Alberta, Miss Sara Stevens of Ontario, Mr. Hugo Pepin of Québec and Mr. Tim Fedak of Nova Scotia

2005 – June 2005, presented the 2004 V. Barclay Upton Memorial Award for the highest performing E.R.I. Service Team member, to the inaugural recipient, Rae Coyle.

2005 – September 2005, presented the 2005 V. Barclay Upton Memorial Award for the highest performing E.R.I. Service Team member, to Ray Cooper.

2005 – September 2005, awarded the Richard Miller Award to Mr. Nick Heinio of British Columbia, Miss Lisa Marie Greer of Alberta, Mr. Srdjan Dautbegovic of Saskatchewan, Mr. Warren Paxton of Ontario, Mr. Patrice Lambert of Québec and Miss Martha Gallagher of New Brunswick
